Albus (sometimes 'Al') Severus Potter is an academically inclined half-blood wizard, the youngest son (and middle child) of Harry and Ginny Potter, brother of James Sirius and Lily Luna Potter and cousin of Rose and Hugo Weasley.

He was named for Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape, two Headmasters of Hogwarts who had shaped the Wizarding World as he now knows it. What this means is that he feels he's got a lot of pressure placed upon his shoulders. Upon first impression, Albus is timid, shy, and a little unsure of ... well, just about everything. He is also sweet, kind and very loyal - all things he's picked up from his family. (It's in the Potter/Weasley gene.) He has a penchant for stuttering and prefers to generally keep his emotions and thoughts quite close to the vest; only those he trusts ever get to see more of Albus' 'emotional' side. But there are Weasley traits in there - when he isn't trying hard to melt into the shadows - and on the occasion, he can be quite the Gryffindor.

This may be why the Sorting Hat had just a little bit of difficulty picking a House for Albus, as he seemed to possess qualities from nearly all four houses. In the end, to everyone's surprise (including his own), Ravenclaw was best suited for him, and he's found that he is quite happy there.

Albus looks almost exactly like his father, with dark black hair, and his grandmother's (and father's) green eyes. He is of average height, and is mostly seen wearing his Hogwarts robes and Ravenclaw tie (blue and bronze in colour). He visits Hagrid every other Friday for tea, is an apt duelist, and can't throw (or catch) a Quaffle to save his life. He is a fair broom flyer, though by no means even remotely Quidditch-inclined. His best friend is Rose 'Rosie' Weasley. His current romantic attachments are very, very complicated as they would be when you're a teenager and discovering who you are. He is currently dating Scorpius Malfoy, and it is still very, very complicated.

Albus is currently sixteen seventeen years old, in his sixth seventh (and last!) year of Hogwarts, and is growing more and more interested in studying at a Muggle University (he's looking into Oxford), post-Hogwarts, with the eventual aspiration to teach. He takes excellent notes and visits the library nearly as often as his aunt Hermione used to. He is interested in history and literature and is very often seen with his nose stuck in a book and ink on his fingers. His favourite subjects are History of Magic, Arithmancy, and Transfiguration.
